PLAYER’S REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN (SUMMER 2018-19)

Hi Parents & Players,

 

Registration for this summer’s Cricket Season – District Competition (8 September 2018 – 9 March 2019) is now OPEN:

  • Junior Cricket Competition – 
    Ages 8 to 15 years old (DOB: 01/09/2002 & younger)
    Teams:
    Under 10 & Under 11 age groups, will play modified cricket (with 2-hour play, where all player will have a go). Cricket Australia’s new Junior Pathway!
    Under 12, 14 & 16 teams – unchanged playing formats & competition
    Under 12 to 16 pre-season program, training/grading – dates & location to be confirmed.
  • Senior Cricket Competition – 
    Ages 16 plus (DOB: 31/08/2002 & older)
    Grades/Teams: We will be proposing 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th grade teams this season. 
  • Most players from the previous season will be returning, so there are limited vacancies available for new* players to the club.
    *New players/teams only are subject to club and district grading (dates & location to be confirmed).
    IMPORTANT NOTE:  All teams registrations need to be finalised back to the District by Saturday 25 August 2018.

Little Cricket for minors – Cricket Australia’s exciting new sponsor & format launch this summer:

Woolworths Cricket Blast – Junior Blasters (5-7yo) &  Master Blasters Programs (7-10yo)
We *plan to facilitate The Woolworths Cricket Blast – Junior Blasters and Master Blasters programs during the 4th or 1st school term (8 weeks program – dates to be confirmed).
Registrations are not yet opened. 
Reasons being: We are still in the process of confirming program dates, the day of the week held, and times – which is all dependant on *vacancies to fill for Woolworths Cricket Blast: Junior Blasters and Master Blasters Coordinators (2x parent volunteers), Coach (1x parent volunteer), Captains (6x parent volunteers) & Crew (as many helpers/parent volunteers) and their availability. We would welcome your interest in any parent/volunteer vacancies! A reply email would be great with your desired interest.

Senior Cricket – 2017/2018

This season Senior Cricket Competition with Blacktown City & District Cricket Association, will commence from Saturday, 9 September 2017

Senior games are on Saturdays from 1:20pm to 6:00pm. During daylight saving One Day games finish at 7pm

Season draw and playing schedule will be issued by the district the week before the season starts and will be updated on MyCricket website. Please note grounds can vary from week to week, please check the schedule on MyCricket under fixtures. 

Team captains will be in contact with players in their teams. 

All you need is your own cricket gear, box/guard, sport white pants and mostly white sport shoes. The club will provide a cricket jersey and cap.

Senior grading and trials for new players only will be Sundays 20 & 27 August 2017.  

Location and timing is: Glenwood High School – Cricket Nets, Foreman Avenue, Glenwood.

  • New Senior registered players only, for grading and trials into teams vacancies 2:15pm – 3:30pm

If you have not already registered, please select and follow the register section on our club website. This will enable us to start setting teams together before 27 August deadline.

Junior Cricket – Under 10 to Under 16

This season Junior Cricket Competition with Blacktown City & District Cricket Association, will commence from Saturday, 9 September 2017

Junior games are on Saturdays from 8:30am to 12:00pm. Except for Under 10 teams, will play modified cricket for 2 hours – timings are to be confirmed by our district. 

Season draw and playing schedule will be issued by the district the week before the season starts and will be updated on MyCricket website. Please note grounds can vary from week to week, please check the schedule on MyCricket under fixtures. 

Junior team coaches and/ or team manager (who is a designated parent volunteer/s) will be in contact with parents in their team to advise a training day & time at their convenience and availability.

All you need is your own cricket gear – if available, box/guard, sport white pants and mostly white sport shoes. The club will provide a cricket jersey and cap. For Junior Teams Only – a team kit is available, kids may borrow club cricket equipment (bat, pads, gloves, helmet etc.) on game days only.

Junior pre-season training for Under 11 to Under 16 age groups only, has been planned for Sundays 20 & 27 August 2017

Location and timings are: Glenwood High School – Cricket Nets, Foreman Avenue, Glenwood.

  • Under 11 & 12 Teams Junior age groups: 9:30am – 11:30am
  • Under 14 to 16 Teams Junior age groups: 12:00pm – 2:00pm
For Under 10 teams:  Players and parents – Your designated team coach/ team manager (parent volunteers) will be in contact with you to organise a meet & greet – before start of season.
